The FAA has formally made TxAeroSport a public airport and changed our designation to X65, effective May6.

Our new CTAF is 122.9.

The May14 FLY-IN was well-attended and lots of fun!

Champion Tow Plane

TxAeroAircraft Services is in the process of rebuilding a 1962 150HP Champion for use as a tow plane.  We anticipate the Champ being ready for service this Fall for any glider operations that might be interested in calling TxAeroSport home. We have plenty of open space west of the runway to accommodate gliders while powered aircraft can still operate unimpeded.

1940’s Era Control Tower

A “control tower” reminiscent of the 1940’s, in keeping with the Aerodrome’s style.

Hangar.Guadalcanal.4New Member of Our Hangar Design Family

We’ve added a new hangar design to our family of arched-roof hangars, which we call the Guadalcanal.  Only 40’x40’ but with segmented pocket doors on the front, it closely resembles our larger hangars and is perfect for anyone with one airplane and some other smaller “toys”.  You can see the details under the Offerings page.

Expansion of TxAero Aircraft Services

Our on-site aircraft maintenance and restoration shop, TxAero Aircraft Services, is growing!  We’ve added a 1200 sqft extension onto the shop and brought in three additional A&P mechanics.  So, more than ever, the shop is equipped and staffed to handle most of your aircraft maintenance or restoration needs.
